Hanlin Zheng

Jolin Zheng is a conceptual artist currently based in New York City. Having moved back and forth from Canada, China and the US, her practice focuses on migration, censorship, and the history of immigration shown through found materials made from Industrialization such as motherboards, receipts, key caps and magazines contrasted with traditional hand crafted medium such as embroidery thread and ceramic to convey her experience. Jolin’s work has been shown in Rochester Art Center, Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, the MET, and Cannon Tunnel at the Capital, Washington D.C.
